The International Journal of Clinical & Medical Case Reports is a peer-reviewed, open access journal for clinical case reports, case series, clinical images and short research reports that carry a clear teaching point for practising clinicians.

Scope

Submissions are welcomed across critical care, cardiology, radiology, internal medicine, microbiology, dentistry, gastroenterology, psychiatry, rehabilitation medicine and paediatrics. Reports from any clinical discipline are considered where the case changes, confirms or challenges practice.

What makes a strong submission

• A clear reason the case is worth reporting - a diagnostic pitfall, an unexpected response, a rare presentation of a common condition, or a common presentation of a rare one.
• Enough clinical detail for a reader to recognise the same situation, including what was ruled out.
• Honest reporting of what was not known at the time and what would be done differently.
• Documented patient consent for publication.

Publishing model

The journal is fully open access. Accepted articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence, are free to read without registration, and receive a permanent digital identifier. Authors retain copyright.
